Mental Health First Aid Training (Adult)

Mental health first aid is a training program designed to teach individuals how to provide initial support and assistance to someone experiencing a mental health crisis or struggling with a mental health issue. Similar to traditional first aid for physical health, mental health first aid equips people with the knowledge and skills to recognize signs of distress, offer appropriate help, and guide the affected person toward professional care if necessary. It aims to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and promote early intervention and understanding.
This class is free to attend and offered to those who live in Pima County. You must be at least 18 years old to attend the class.
There is pre-work that is due at least 3 days before the in person class. You will receive an email with the instructions at least a week before the pre-work is due.
BEYOND Hiking Program

Beyond leads monthly hikes for those members of our community who maybe are beginning to explore the outdoors and would like some support getting out on a hike. Learn more about which trails to choose, how to hike safely, including proper nutrition and hydration, and connect with others in a supportive environment.
Birding at the Zoo

Event Details:
Join Reid Park Zoo and Tucson Bird Alliance (formerly Tucson Audubon Society) for a guided bird walk through the zoo. Experience the zoo in a new way as we observe and identify the native birds we see that call the zoo home. Binoculars and field guides are recommended but not required.
The tour may last up to 2 hours but participants do not need to stay for the entire duration. All participants must arrive by 9:15, details on where to meet will be sent to you immediately after you register.

2025 Green Valley Health Fair

Location: Green Valley Recreation West Center, 1111 GVR Drive
This free community health event attracts nearly 1,000 attendees each year and offers a variety of health services and screenings. Key focus areas include health disparities, TCDP, and HIV/STD prevention. Connect with local health experts and access valuable resources to support your well-being.
Pima County Community Resource Fair

Location: Ellie Towne Flowing Wells Community Center, 1660 W Ruthrauff Rd.
This community event is dedicated to providing essential services and resources to the Hispanic community. Attendees can access health education, COVID-19 and flu information, and support from organizations such as CMHA, HIV/STD Mobile, VE, and MECSH.
Spring Resources Fair @ The Amphi Neighborhood Park

This resource fair is dedicated to reactivating and revitalizing communities affected by violence, crime, and poverty. Join us to celebrate the neighborhood's resiliency with services and resources focused on health education, COVID-19 and flu information, and support from CMHA, Health Disparities, and VE.
Mental Health Awareness Walk
