Animal & Pet Resource Organizations

community Organizations

To provide timely service to residents and compassionate care to animals, while working to support public safety, find homes for homeless animals and educate the community about responsible pet ownership. To support Pima Animal Care Center and enhance its efforts to save the lives of pets in need. Every pet served by Pima Animal Care Center is supported with the resources needed for a safe, healthy, and happy future. Friends of PACC was founded in 2016 by a group of dedicated PACC staff, volunteers, and community members who knew that the newly renovated shelter would need tremendous philanthropic support to thrive.

Rescue Me Tucson is a 501(c)3 non-profit formed to establish and operate a collaborative-based pet adoption center. Our center helps multiple Tucson and Southern Arizona rescues and shelters provide consumers with a compassionate alternative to pet stores selling mill-bred puppies and kittens and help rescue animals find their forever homes. RMT’s model is based on the Best Friends No Kill Center in Los Angeles. We’ll be the first collaborative-based pet adoption center in Arizona, and the experiences we gain will help develop a template for centers in other communities. Our center will be open seven days a week and offer potential adopters the opportunity to meet many adoptable dogs and cats of all ages. The increased visibility will reduce the “bottleneck” that foster-based rescues experience caused by limited exposure of their adoptable animals. More exposure equals more adoptions and enables rescues to save more lives!

PACC's Pet Support Center works with pet owners in crisis to provide support and resources to keep pets in the home that loves them. Our goal is to help keep YOUR pet with YOUR family. Through our Safety Net program, we may be able to offer temporary placement with a foster to pet families in crisis. We may be able to offer funding for veterinary needs. We can provide training support if you are experiencing behavioral challenges with your pet. We can provide food and basic pet ownership supplies at the shelter upon request. Low cost spay/neuter information, housing resources, and more.
